![]() Regardless, the entire Niners offense, including Kittle, were great picks this season. In games without either Aiyuk or Samuel, Kittle averaged nine targets per game finishing as the TE3, TE8, and TE2 respectively. I didn’t expect Kittle to finish second in target amongst 49ers, but with Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel missing a combined three games, it’s not totally surprising. However, his 12.7 points per game is his lowest since his rookie season in 2017. George Kittle is the 2023 season’s TE6 on a points-per-game basis. Grade: A San Francisco 49ers: George Kittle finishes outside the top-12 tight ends To be fair, Nacua’s rookie campaign exceeded my expectations, but he was one of the top players on my radar to be a key waiver wire pickup this season just in case something like this were to happen. Little did I know, that after 17 weeks, Puka Nacua would rank inside the top five in total yards…amongst ALL players! Nacua needs just 28 yards in Week 18 to set a record for most receiving yards by a rookie in NFL history. This is easily my biggest hit amongst my summer series of 2023 bold predictions. Grade: C Los Angeles Rams: Puka Nacua ranks inside the top five in total yards among rookie wide receivers James Conner finished as the RB11, RB4, and RB4 respectively during the fantasy football playoffs on an average of 20.3 touches per game. If you did have Conner on your roster, he likely won you your league, too. ![]() Either way, he was always a cheap, volume-based option for the 2023 season. I still believe in a fully healthy season, Conner nears 300 total touches. That’s an average of 17 per game which, over a full season, paces for 272 total. In 12 active games, Conner logged 204 total touches. I’m giving myself an average score for this bold prediction considering James Conner missed four games due to injury. ![]() Regardless, you don’t have to worry much about sizing because web banner templates do all the sizing work for you (more on this later). For example, Facebook and Twitter cover photos are 820 pixels wide by 312 pixels tall, while the LinkedIn cover image is 1128 pixels wide by 191 pixels tall. Some don’t require the same level of precision that ad banners do. While sizes vary some between different social media and other online platforms, the landscape (wide, horizontal) shape is standard for these types of banners. Your banner sets forth your brand identity and personality is the primary goal. Whether you’re crafting it for social media or an online shop, it’s essentially a big billboard announcing who you are and what you’re about. Looking for some banner ad design ideas? Below are a few banner ad examples in various sizes – square, vertical, and horizontal – that you can use for inspiration or customize to make your own.Ī header banner is the biggest marketing opportunity on your page because it’s the first thing people see when they arrive. That means keep it simple with fonts, images, graphics, and color, especially if your banner is small. Make sure your web banner is clear, easy to read or view, and bright, lively, and attention-grabbing. Plus, many users will see your ad on their phone. Visual appeal: You have very little time to make an impression and a small amount of space in which to do it.You’ll get far more traction if you tell them what to do, even if it’s a simple “Click Here” or “Start Your Free Trial.” A call-to-action, or CTA: Don’t count on viewers to always know how to interact with your web content.Your business name or logo: Including your branding helps with brand awareness and also helps viewers know who is marketing to them. However, nearly all banner ads should include the following: For example, the banner can feature an image or a static graphic, a GIF or video, color or black and white. What should a banner ad contain?Īlong with size, there are many variations you can include in banner ads. Most ad platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, and Pinterest Ads, share details on what works best for them. No matter the shape, web banner designs are generally in standard web-image formats, such as. Even tiny button ads are considered banners. ![]() They’re not used as often as many of the other sizes, but squares tuck nicely into the “right rail” (right-hand column). (You know all those ads you scroll past while getting through recipe content to find the actual recipe? Those are web banner ads.) Smaller, horizontal rectangles interspersed between paragraphs of content.Vertical (called a “skyscraper”) for positioning in the sidebar (the right side of webpages).Large and horizontal (leaderboard or standard banner) these are intended to be positioned at the top of a webpage (i.e., the header).Banner ad sizes.Īs shown by the examples above, courtesy of Google Ads, there are several different standard banner sizes for banner ads, and they’re all based on where on a webpage you plan to serve (position) your banner. The size and shape you choose dictates the amount and type of content to include in the banner. Banner ads.īanners ads come in an array of sizes and shapes. ![]() Let’s review the essentials of those briefly then get right into how to make your own web banners. Unlike ad-related web banners, these are more about marketing or introducing a website section as opposed to getting users to click on a digital advertisement.Īlong with different goals, these two types of banners have different requirements and best practices. Banners are also called a cover photo or header photo. Finally, web banners have requirements that need to be met for them to be compatible with ad serving and display.īut for the everyday social media creator, small online shop owner, business owner, or blogger, a web banner can also refer to the personalizable online banner that appears at the top of your LinkedIn profile, Twitter profile, Facebook page, YouTube channel, Etsy shop, website, and more. It’s also a good idea to give movers a tip $20 to $25 is the normal tipping amount. This will give them an incentive to be a little bit gentler with your items. Help the movers by providing snacks and beverages for them.If you’re still a little nervous about making the big move, here are some tips to make things go a little bit smoother. Above all, take it easy, as it’s going to be a long day. Once everything is out of the house, do a few checks of each room to make sure nothing is left behind. You should also pack your car with the expensive items that you’ll be transporting. Make sure you any pets are safe as they’re transported separately or going off to a new home. Do your best to focus on moving on box at a time. When the big day arrives, you’ll be more than anxious to finish the move. Be sure to vacuum and dust every room, and leave the place in good condition before you head out. You don’t want to leave that canvas print of your children, or your go-to weekend sweatshirt. Check every room in the house and make sure that there’s nothing left behind. You should also clean your pantries and throw out any old food containers. First off, defrost the freezer and refrigerator, and clean them out thoroughly. Now that you’re all packed up and ready to go, there are still a few things left to do the night before you move. It’s important to pay close attention to how you pack objects, as heavy items will likely fall out the bottom of a box that’s not folded correctly. Liquor stores and home improvement stores are also good places to check. These businesses get deliveries on a daily basis, and often have stacks of boxes on hand that they would be more than happy to get rid of. You may be able to get them free from places like the office supply store, bookstore, and the local grocery store. You’ll need boxes (and plenty of them) to fully organize your belongings. Let’s review moving out week by week with our infographic. ![]() Another important item to take care of at this time is the change of address with the post office. You should also have a suitcase handy, packed with plenty of necessities, just in case your moving truck arrives at the new house a bit later than you do. Plan to personally escort your jewelry and other expensive items to the new place. Finishing Your Relocation Checklist: One Week OutĪt the one-week mark, you should be knee deep in packing. If you’re leaving work, then draft your two-week notice and turn it in as well. This is also a good time to ensure that your car insurance is in order, and to tell the insurance company about your intentions to relocate. (Potato chips, anyone?) If you’re moving pets, prepare to have them transported, or if they won’t be going with you, find them a new home. It’s now time to clean out the fridge, and start eating foods that don’t need to be kept cold. Two Weeks Out on Your Moving Timelineīy the time you get to two weeks out from your move, the fact that you’re leaving your old place will start to seem real, if it hasn’t already. This is something that you’ll definitely want to stay on top of so that your lights, gas, and cable will be on and waiting for you. ![]() You should also contact the utility company to have your service moved to the new location on your scheduled date of arrival. Be sure to label the boxes so that you know exactly what they are when you get to your new place. Start packing small things like books and other non-essential items. Book your moving company and schedule the date and time of the big day. When you get to this point, it’s time to kick things up a notch. Then, purchase supplies like scissors, markers, and other packing materials to help you stay organized during the transition. Have a garage sale or send off items that you want to give to charity. Things You Need When Moving, And Things You Don’t:Īround four weeks before the move, start getting rid of clutter and things that you don’t want to take with you. Make a list of everything that you need to pack your things, as well as a list of things you’re bringing with you. Take this time to notify your kids’ school about the relocation, and start researching schools in your new area. You should then create a to-do list for the next coming weeks. Focus on what service fits best with your needs, but try to stay within your budget. ![]() Start with giving your landlord an advanced notice of your intentions to move, and review your lease to make sure there aren’t any surprise clauses that would interfere with your relocation.Ĭreate a Moving Timeline: This is also the time to search for moving companies and compare pricing. That may sound like plenty of time, but moving is a big job and there’s a lot of work to be done. Give Notice: You should start planning your move at least five weeks out. Moving Out Checklist Preparing to Movie: First Steps ![]() The secondary minima of diffraction set a limit to the useful magnification of objective lenses in optical microscopy due to inherent diffraction of light by these lenses. Under most circumstances, the angle θ(1) is very small so the approximation that the sin and tan of the angle are almost equal yields: θ(1) ≅ 1.22(λ/d)įrom these equations, it becomes apparent that the central maximum is directly proportional to λ/d, making this maximum more spread out for longer wavelengths and for smaller apertures. Where θ(1) is the angular position of the first order diffraction minima (the first dark ring), λ is the wavelength of the incident light, d is the diameter of the aperture, and 1.22 is a constant. Mathematical analysis of the diffraction patterns produced by a circular aperture is described by the diffraction equation: sinθ(1) = 1.22(λ/d) Circular apertures produce diffraction patterns similar to those described above, except the pattern naturally exhibits a circular symmetry. However, all optical instruments have circular apertures, for example the pupil of an eye or the circular diaphragm and lenses of a microscope. Our discussions of diffraction have used a slit as the aperture through which light is diffracted. The wave-like nature of light forces an ultimate limit to the resolving power of all optical instruments. This is often determined by the quality of the lenses and mirrors in the instrument as well as the properties of the surrounding medium (usually air). The resolving power is the optical instrument’s ability to produce separate images of two adjacent points. ![]() This diffraction element leads to a phenomenon known as Cellini’s halo (also known as the Heiligenschein effect) where a bright ring of light surrounds the shadow of the observer’s head.ĭiffraction of light plays a paramount role in limiting the resolving power of any optical instrument (for example: cameras, binoculars, telescopes, microscopes, and the eye). This last interaction with the interface refracts the light back into the atmosphere, but it also diffracts a portion of the light as illustrated below. The beam, still traveling inside the water droplet, is once again refracted as it strikes the interface for a third time. As a light wave traveling through the atmosphere encounters a droplet of water, as illustrated below, it is first refracted at the water-to-air interface, then it is reflected as it again encounters the interface. The amount of diffraction depends on the wavelength of light, with longer wavelengths being diffracted at a greater angle than shorter ones (in effect, red light are diffracted at a higher angle than is blue and violet light). We can often observe pastel shades of blue, pink, purple, and green in clouds that are generated when light is diffracted from water droplets in the clouds. A good example of this is the diffraction of sunlight by clouds that we often refer to as a silver lining, illustrated in Figure 1 with a beautiful sunset over the ocean. This phenomenon can also occur when light is “bent” around particles that are on the same order of magnitude as the wavelength of the light. ![]() The parallel lines are actually diffraction patterns. As the fingers approach each other and come very close together, you begin to see a series of dark lines parallel to the fingers. A very simple demonstration of diffraction of waves can be conducted by holding your hand in front of a light source and slowly closing two fingers while observing the light transmitted between them. The advanced Excel test is often used for those needing to comprehend vast quantities of data, such as financial analysts or scientists. If you're applying for a more senior role (such as a project manager or auditor), you will likely be invited to participate in an intermediate Excel test. If you are applying for an entry-level position, such as an administrative or sales position, you will likely only need to participate in a basic Excel test. Other companies may choose to invest in the more formal Microsoft Excel test. They may score the test in-house or use how the person works as an informal indication of what they can do. Some companies may choose an informal Microsoft Excel test, where they create an assessment independently.įor example, they may devise tasks or activities based on their usual work patterns and ask a candidate to manage these during an interview. Microsoft Excel Assessments can be conducted in different ways. Within the recruitment process, hiring managers can use the Excel test to see how well a potential recruit can cope with the tasks related to the job they are applying for.Īs a result, they can identify any strengths and weaknesses and have greater insight into whether that candidate is the right person for the job.
